Terms of use for Granny's Puzzle
The rules for using the game. Short and fair, we hope.
Last updated:
These terms apply when you use the game Granny’s Puzzle on iPhone or Android. The game is made by Dengo Labs, called “we” or “us” below (details in section 12). By using the game, you agree to these terms.
1. The store’s terms
The game is distributed through Apple’s App Store and Google Play, so the store’s own terms also apply: Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement on iPhone and the Google Play Terms of Service on Android. These terms add to them. If they conflict, the store’s terms take priority.
2. Your licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the game on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use. The game, its puzzles, art, characters, music and code remain ours (or our licensors’).
3. Play fair
Please don’t:
- use cheating tools, bots or modified versions of the game;
- copy, decompile or reverse engineer the game, except where the law allows it despite this restriction;
- interfere with the game’s ads, servers or security;
- copy the puzzles or art to publish or sell them.
4. In-game items
Hints, helpers, yarn and knitted items are part of the game. They have no real-world value, can’t be bought, sold, exchanged for money or transferred, and aren’t your property. We may change how many you get, what they do or what they cost in the game, for example when we balance it.
Your progress and items are stored only on your device. If you delete the app or lose your device, they can’t be restored.
5. Ads
The game is free and funded by ads from third parties (Google AdMob). We don’t control the content of individual ads and aren’t responsible for offers or websites that ads link to. Watching optional videos is always your choice. How ads use data is explained in our privacy policy.
6. Updates and availability
We may update the game, add or remove features, or change its puzzles. We try to keep the game running, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors, and we may stop offering it in the future.
7. The game is provided “as is”
We provide the game free of charge, as it is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we give no guarantees beyond what these terms say. This doesn’t limit any rights you have by law, including those in section 8.
8. Liability
- We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz), and where we have given a guarantee.
- For slight negligence, we are liable only if we breach an essential obligation: one that makes proper use of the game possible in the first place and on which you may regularly rely. Our liability is then limited to the damage that is typical and foreseeable for this kind of contract.
- Otherwise, our liability is excluded.
- These limits also apply to people who work for us or on our behalf.
9. Privacy
Our privacy policy explains what data the game uses.
10. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, for example when we add features or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we make important changes clearly visible on this page. If you keep playing after a change, the new terms apply. If you don’t agree, you can stop using the game and delete it at any time.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you normally live.
If any part of these terms is invalid, the rest still applies.
